Day 1: Arrival in Cancún
Arrive at Cancun International Airport and pick up your hire car. Enjoy a short drive to your hotel, where you can relax and prepare for your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you can take a walk through Cancun or relax at the hotel.

Day 2: Chichén Itzá - Mérida
Drive inland through the lush jungle of Yucatán to Chichen Itza, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Accompany a local guide on a tour of this ancient Mayan city and marvel at the Pyramid of Kukulkan. Continue your journey to Mérida, the elegant colonial city of the Yucatán, and spend the night there.

Day 3: Hacienda Yaxcopoil & Cenote X'batun
After breakfast, drive to Hacienda Yaxcopoil and take a guided tour of this beautifully preserved estate, which was once one of the region's prosperous agave plantations. Afterwards, enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Cenote X'batun, a natural limestone cave surrounded by lush vegetation. Return to Mérida for a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Izamal - Valladolid
Head east to Izamal, known as the "Yellow City" because of its sunlit colonial buildings. Stroll through the market and admire the Franciscan monastery, which was built on top of a Mayan pyramid. Continue to the charming city of Valladolid and enjoy a free afternoon to explore the colonial centre, relax in a café or take part in an optional city tour.

Day 5: Las Coloradas & Rio Lagartos
Venture north to the surreal pink lakes of Las Coloradas. Enjoy the surreal colours and take unforgettable photos. Continue to Rio Lagartos, a tranquil fishing village known for its species-rich mangroves. You can opt for a boat tour to observe flamingos and crocodiles (optional). Return to Valladolid for the night.

Day 6: Cobá ruins
Start the day with a scenic drive to the jungle-enclosed ruins of Cobá. Explore the ancient paths and towering pyramids before travelling south to Tulum. Arrive in this bohemian beach town and relax at your hotel, located just minutes from the Caribbean Sea.

Day 7: Tulum
This morning you will visit the breathtaking archaeological site of Tulum, perched on the cliffs above the sea, with a local guide. Discover the temples and ancient murals before travelling further along the coast to Playa del Carmen. Check into your hotel and enjoy the relaxed beach atmosphere.

Day 8: Free day in Playa del Carmen
Enjoy a full day of relaxation in Playa del Carmen. Relax on the beach, stroll along the famous Quinta Avenida or book optional activities such as snorkelling in cenotes or a visit to the island of Cozumel. This is your time to relax before the trip comes to an end.

Day 9: Playa del Carmen - Cancún airport
Drive back to Cancún International Airport and return your hire car. You will leave with lasting memories of your Yucatán adventure and the rich cultural heritage of south-east Mexico.
