From the Pacific metropolis of Lima, you will discover colonial landmarks and culinary diversity before heading into the desert to Huacachina - sandboarding, buggy rides and an unforgettable sunset included. An excursion to Paracas National Park and the Ballestas Islands takes you to sea lions, penguins and spectacular coastal landscapes. A comfortable night bus takes you to the "White City" of Arequipa, whose colonial architecture and Santa Catalina Monastery are sure to impress.

Cross the Andean highlands through the Colca Canyon to Puno on the legendary Lake Titicaca, where you will meet the Uros on their floating reed islands and have lunch on Taquile. You travel along the historic Ruta del Sol to Cusco, where your tourist ticket gives you access to temples, fortresses and museums.

The finale is a two-day Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu experience: terraces of Pisac, Ollantaytambo's Inca fortress, the train journey to Aguas Calientes and finally the guided tour of the famous citadel. Perfectly organised with transfers, guides and charming hotels.

Day 1: Arrival in Lima

Welcome to Peru! After your arrival in Lima, you will be met and taken comfortably to your hotel in the lively Miraflores district. The fresh sea breeze from the Pacific, palm trees along the promenade and the soft light over the cliffs will immediately give you that holiday feeling. Use the first evening for a walk along the coast or for your first ceviche in one of the city's excellent restaurants. The journey begins relaxed - and full of anticipation.

Day 2: Lima

Today you will immerse yourself in the history of Peru. During the full-day city tour, you will discover the magnificent Plaza Mayor, the cathedral and the impressive San Francisco monastery with its mysterious catacombs. Between colonial facades, colourful balconies and modern districts, you will experience the contrasts of this fascinating capital city. Lima will surprise you - culturally, culinarily and atmospherically.

Day 3: Huacachina

A panoramic drive along the coast takes you southwards until an oasis suddenly opens up in the middle of golden sand dunes: Huacachina. Palm trees are reflected in the water of the lagoon, while high dunes surround the small village. A unique desert backdrop awaits you here - almost surreal. The afternoon is free to enjoy the atmosphere or to climb the first dunes.

Day 4: Paracas & Ballestas

In the morning, you will travel to the Pacific coast to Paracas. The boat takes you out to the impressive Ballestas Islands, which are often referred to as the "small Galápagos Islands of Peru". Sea lions sunbathe on the rocks, Humboldt penguins move between the cliffs and thousands of seabirds circle over the water - a lively natural spectacle in the midst of a rugged coastal landscape. You then explore the Paracas National Reserve with its vast desert plains and spectacular cliffs, where ochre, red and sandy colours meet the intense blue of the ocean.

Day 5: Huacachina - Arequipa

The day is at your leisure in Huacachina - ideal for enjoying the oasis in peace, relaxing by the pool or taking another stroll through the dune landscape. Optionally, you can take part in a sightseeing flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines or book a wine & pisco tour in the region (not included).

The onward journey to the Andes begins in the evening: You travel to Arequipa by comfortable overnight bus in the Comfort Suite area with 180° seats (journey time approx. 13.5 hours).

Day 6: Arequipa

In the morning you reach Arequipa - one of the most beautiful cities in Peru. Surrounded by the mighty Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu volcanoes, the "White City" is bathed in bright sunlight. The light-coloured architecture made of volcanic rock gives Arequipa a very special, elegant atmosphere. After the transfer to your hotel, the day is at leisure. Perhaps you will enjoy your first coffee in the Plaza de Armas, observe life under the arcades or let yourself be carried away by the quiet, almost Mediterranean atmosphere of the city. Arequipa is more relaxed than Lima - authentic, charming and full of history. An ideal place to arrive and let the impressions of the last few days sink in.

Day 7: Arequipa

Today you will get to know Arequipa even better. During the guided city tour, you will stroll through the historic centre with its bright volcanic stone façades, elegant arcades and lively squares. The mighty Andean volcanoes rise above the city and give Arequipa its unmistakable character. A particular highlight is the Santa Catalina monastery. Behind its walls lies a colourful "city within a city" with narrow alleyways, quiet courtyards and centuries of history. Return to the hotel in the afternoon. The evening offers the opportunity to savour the special atmosphere of Arequipa once again.

Day 8: Puno

You leave Arequipa early in the morning and drive towards the Colca Canyon. The landscape gradually changes: wide plateaus, snow-capped peaks and small Andean villages accompany you along the way. At the famous Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, you have a spectacular view into one of the deepest canyons in the world. With a bit of luck, you may spot the majestic Andean condor gliding over the canyon - an impressive moment in the midst of magnificent nature. You then continue your journey through the Andes and reach Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca in the afternoon.

Day 9: Puno

Today you will discover the impressive Lake Titicaca - deep blue, wide and embedded in the clear mountain air of the Andes. Take a boat out to the floating reed islands of the Uros, where the inhabitants will welcome you and give you an insight into their traditional lifestyle, which has been closely linked to the lake for generations. You then continue your journey to Taquile Island. Here you will experience authentic island life, centuries-old traditions and sweeping views across the lake. Lunch together rounds off the excursion. Return to Puno in the afternoon. The evening is at leisure.

Day 10: Puno - Cusco

Early in the morning (approx. 05:30), you will depart in the direction of Cusco. A short transfer takes you to the meeting point of the "Ruta del Sol". During the full-day journey, you will cross impressive highland landscapes of the Andes. On the way, you will visit selected archaeological and historical sites that provide insights into the region's pre-Columbian and colonial past. Lunch is included en route and offers the opportunity for a relaxing break.

In the late afternoon, you will reach Cusco - the former capital of the Inca empire, situated at an altitude of over 3,400 metres. After check-in at the hotel, the evening is at leisure to arrive in peace and gather your first impressions of this special city.

Day 11: Cusco

Today you will immerse yourself in the history of Cusco. With your tourist ticket, you will explore the most important sights of the former Inca capital and its surroundings. During the guided city tour, you will discover the impressive mixture of Inca foundations and colonial architecture. You will visit central squares, historic churches and selected archaeological sites around the city.

Cusco fascinates with its special energy - centuries come together here and history becomes tangible. Lunch is included before returning to the hotel in the afternoon. The evening is free to continue enjoying the lively atmosphere of the city.

Day 12: Cusco

You set off early in the morning to one of Peru's most impressive natural wonders - the Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca). The journey takes you through remote Andean landscapes with wide valleys, small villages and snow-capped peaks in the background. After breakfast on site, the hike up to the famous coloured rock formations begins. New views of the spectacular high mountain landscape open up with every step. Once you reach the viewpoint, you can enjoy an unforgettable panorama at an altitude of over 5,000 metres - a moment that combines the power of nature with tranquillity. After the descent and lunch together, return to Cusco in the afternoon. The evening is at leisure.

Day 13: Cusco - Aguas Calientes

Today begins your 2-day journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas - a region full of history and impressive Andean landscapes. You will visit Pisac with its terraces and continue through the fertile Urubamba Valley to Ollantaytambo, where a monumental Inca fortress towers high above the town. The mighty stone walls provide an impressive insight into the architecture and importance of this region. Lunch is included en route. In the afternoon, you board the train that takes you along the Urubamba River to Aguas Calientes. With every kilometre, the anticipation of the upcoming highlight of your journey grows.

Day 14: Cusco

Early in the morning, you will visit one of the most impressive World Heritage Sites of all: Machu Picchu. Together with your guide, you will explore the legendary Inca citadel and learn more about its history, architecture and spiritual significance. Between terraces, temples and stone walls, the view of the surrounding, mist-covered mountain peaks opens up again and again - a moment full of awe and wonder. After the guided tour, you return to Aguas Calientes and travel back to Cusco by train through the Urubamba Valley. Transfer to the hotel and overnight stay in a special atmosphere for your last evening in the Andes.

Day 15: Departure

Today it's time to say goodbye to the Andes. A private transfer will take you from the hotel in Cusco to the airport. During the short domestic flight to Lima, the impressive mountain landscapes pass beneath you once again. Your journey through Peru ends with many unforgettable impressions - from desert oases and volcanic backdrops to the mystical citadel of Machu Picchu. On arrival in Lima, you can continue your journey individually or take your international departure flight.
