First highlight
Arrival and welcome at the plantation
You will be welcomed by a local coffee expert who will give you an overview of the history and importance of coffee cultivation in Costa Rica.
Second highlight
Tour of the plantation
On a walk through the fields, you will learn how coffee plants grow, thrive and are cared for. Depending on the season, you will see flowering plants or ripe beans ready for harvest.
Third highlight
Processing & drying
In the processing section of the finca, you will learn about the traditional and modern methods of bean processing - from washing and drying to fermentation.
Fourth highlight
Roasting & refinement
You will then observe the roasting process - the moment in which the full flavour is created. You will learn how different degrees of roasting influence flavour and character.
