Day 1: Havana
Welcome to Cuba! Today you will arrive at Havana International Airport. We can pick you up and drive you to your hotel (optional) or you can organize your own transportation.

Day 2: Havana
At 8:30 a.m., your guide will take you to the city center of Havana. You will explore the old town, where the heart of Havana beats. In the afternoon, things get active as you learn to dance salsa. Under professional instruction, you will learn your first steps or refine your style. Our Cuban dance teachers have a wide repertoire and tailor their lessons individually to you.

Day 3: Havana - Santa Clara - Topes de Collantes
Today's journey takes you from Havana to Santa Clara. In Santa Clara, you will visit the historic Che Guevara Museum and memorial. You will be impressed by the imposing Che statue, which is visible from almost every point in the city. You will then continue into the breathtaking Sierra del Escambray mountains. You will spend the night in Topes de Collantes, surrounded by the beauty of nature.

Day 4: Topes de Collantes
Today you will hike to the picturesque Salto del Caburní waterfall. This challenging three-hour trail is guided by a local expert who knows the paths as well as the region's flora and fauna in detail. Don't forget to pack your swimwear! After a refreshing dip in the natural pool beneath the waterfall, the evening is yours to enjoy freely.

Day 5: Topes de Collantes - Trinidad
Today you will take a hike through the Parque Guanayara. In the evening, you will continue to Trinidad, where you'll experience one of the absolute highlights of your Cuba trip. With its colonial old-town streets, colorful houses, and lively markets, the city feels like an open-air museum. Stroll through the charming alleys and unwind with a Cuban cocktail after your hike.

Day 6: Trinidad
Today you will hike through the El Cubano Nature Park. Numerous birds and unusual plants are at home in this area. You can refresh yourself under an azure blue waterfall, which we pass during the hike. After the hike, you have the opportunity to explore the national park on horseback (optional). Guided city tour of Trinidad in the late afternoon. In the evening, we recommend a visit to the "Casa de la Trova" or the "Las Cuevas Disco" (optional).

Day 7: Trinidad - Cienfuegos
You make your way to sunny Cienfuegos, where you will take a guided tour of the vibrant city. Cienfuegos is known for its neoclassical architecture. The Palacio de Valle is a particularly impressive building with Gothic, Venetian and neoclassical influences.

Day 8: Cienaga de Zapata - Soroa
The first destination of today is the "Laguna del Tesoro" on the Zapata Peninsula. You will take a boat trip on this so-called "Treasure Lake" before continuing westward. In the hilly landscapes of the Sierra del Rosario, you will spend the night in Soroa.

Day 9: Soroa - San Diego de los Baños
Today you'll set out to explore by bike. The route takes you through the beautiful hilly landscapes from Soroa to San Diego de los Baños. This sleepy little town was once famous for its thermal springs. Although they have now dried up, the hotel and its surroundings are still well worth a visit to experience authentic Cuban rural life.

Day 10: San Diego de los Baños - Viñales
Today's bike tour takes you through the spectacular and world-famous mogotes. You'll ride through the tobacco fields and past the impressive limestone cliffs. Along the way, you'll stop at the "Cueva del Indio" cave before continuing on to Viñales.

Day 11: Viñales
Today you will explore the Viñales Valley on foot, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. Along the way, you will discover a unique variety of vegetation found nowhere else in the world. Of course, you will also focus on the most important aspect of the valley - tobacco. You will visit a Casa del Veguero, a traditional tobacco-drying house, where you will learn fascinating details about the cultivation and harvesting of tobacco leaves.

Day 12: Viñales - Maria la Gorda
You drive to the westernmost point of the island. Through tobacco fields and sugar cane plantations, you reach the bathing paradise far away from mass tourism. Here you can relax to your heart's content. In addition to the 20-kilometre-long beach, there are also many hiking trails to discover on the peninsula. And there is also plenty to see underwater. Maria La Gorda is home to one of the longest coral reefs in the world.

Day 13: Maria la Gorda
Make the most of your free day on the beach. If you wish, we can organize a diving or snorkelling excursion in the Caribbean waters for you (optional). Numerous spectacular corals and other sea creatures await you. In spring, the place is popular with ornithologists, otherwise you won't meet any other tourists apart from a few divers. The perfect place to experience rural Cuba.

Day 14: Maria La Gorda - Havana
Today it's back to Havana. Enjoy the lively capital of the island at your own pace and stroll through the colorful streets of this old city. Take the opportunity to buy some last-minute souvenirs and enjoy the evening with Cuban rhythms in the "Casa de la Música Miramar" (optional): a meeting place for young and old. Live Cuban music is played here every day.

Day 15: Havana
We can drive you to the airport if you wish (optional), otherwise you can arrange your own transportation. We would be happy to help you extend your stay in Cuba and book additional nights for you with one of our add-ons if you are not quite ready to go home.

Details about the accommodation
On this active round trip through the west and central region of Cuba, you will stay in selected mid-range hotels. In Trinidad and Cienfuegos, you will stay in private accommodation. Breakfast is included for overnight stays in hotels. If you are staying in private accommodation, you can also have breakfast at your accommodation. In this case, payment is made in cash on site.
This is an exemplary list of accommodation for your trip. Depending on availability, you may also be accommodated in another hotel of equal value. You will receive a list of the exact accommodation with your travel documents.

- *Casas Particulares are private houses owned by Cubans who have converted rooms for tourists and make them available to them. On request, the owners will prepare breakfast (5-6 CUC), often also lunch or dinner (10-12 CUC), freshly prepared (bookable on site)
